THE RENOVERT TAX CREDIT ENDED ON MARCH 31 2019.
A tax credit of up to $ 10,000 is available until March 31, 2018. This tax credit is intended to encourage individuals to carry out eco-friendly home renovation work in order to reduce their energy and environmental impact.
This tax credit represents 20% savings for expenses exceeding $ 2,500. In addition, this offer may be supplemented, where applicable, with that offered for energy-efficient residential renovations under the Rénoclimat program administered by the Department of Energy and Natural Resources. Replacing your doors and windows qualifies for the tax credit if you choose one of our many EnergyStar certified energy efficient products.
You can claim the RénoVert tax credit only for contracts concluded after March 31, 2017 and before April 1, 2018
In addition, some other eligible work may be available to improve the insulation and energy efficiency of your property. Here is a statement of the different types of residence eligible for this tax credit:
- a detached house;
- a manufactured home or a permanently installed mobile home;
- an apartment in a divided condominium building;
- a dwelling in a multi-residential residential building;
- a year-round cottage that is normally occupied by the owner.
In order to claim this tax credit once the work has been completed, all you need to do is fill out the RénoVert Tax Credit (TP-1029.RV) form and attach the Certificate of Conformity to Eco-responsible Standards (TP-1029.RV.A) which will be given to you at the time of payment of the contract.
